We’re A Say On Defence, an organisation devoted to enhancing the debate on Defence in the UK – something that is at present virtually non-existent.
The three main political parties effectively shut down any meaningful discussion on what we spend on ‘Defence’, all pledging to increase spending from £54.2 billion to upwards of £67 billion – equivalent to 2.5% of everything we produce as a nation (our GDP).
This alignment means the vast majority of Members Of Parliament, who take the decisions on how our country is run, are discouraged from questioning the wisdom of spending such a vast sum on ‘Defence’.
